The Rescue Step™ is a re-entry ladder that can help save your life if you fall overboard.
The Rescue Step™ is a new emergency reboarding step for fishing boats and similar small boats. Many people believe they can easily reboard their fishing boat, but the reality of cold water, surprise, and heavy wet clothes results in hundreds of drowning deaths each year.
The Rescue Step™ is specifically designed to mount on small, flat
Transom boats and provides a simple, sturdy, and effective way to reboard in an emergency. Constructed of solid aluminum to provide unmatched strength, with a jam-proof design that will reliably perform in an emergency. Endorsed by Search and Rescue organizations.
The Rescue Step™ comes in six colors, and is available in three sizes – standard, narrow and mini, to fit most small boats with flat transoms (including Search & Rescue boats) and is available through boat dealers or directly from this website. Click on the PRODUCTS page to see the available models. See the short video on the ABOUT page that shows how the step works.

I was quite fortunate to "win" a Rescue Step that your company donated and was raffled off at our Knee Deep Fishing Club meeting this winter. Ed's experience resulting in the creation of the Rescue Step re-entry ladder. I'm an enthusiastic fisherman and waterfowl hunter. I very often fish and hunt with my dog Otter as my only company. Two years ago I had the experience of falling out of my duck boat while setting decoys late in October. Fortunately the water, although frigid, was shallow enough for me to stand and walk to shore. The experience made me realize how dangerous it would be if the water had been too deep to stand and I was unable to get back into my boat. Attached is a photograph of me and Otter-Dog, taking advantage of the summer weather to practice boarding my boat with the RESCUE STEP re-entry ladder. Please thank Ed and the entire crew at Rescue Step for the very well made potentially life saving Rescue Step re-entry ladder.
